MOSAIC INFORMATION

Mosaic Art Supply sells mosaic supplies, and has lots of good information regarding mosaics. I especially like the blog posts.

Joy of Shards was created by Rod Humby. It has lots of good information, particularly for a beginner.

Mosaic Matters website editor, Paul Bentley, covers a wide range of subjects dealing with mosaics, such as techniques and materials, exhibitions, news items, workshops and reviews of books.

Treasury Road Mosaic videos are created by Peter Twining who is an Australian mosaic artist with a background in creative advertising. This channel is predominately about mosaics and creativity with new videos every week.

The Art and History of Glass Mosaics is a list of mosaic links that includes information related to the history of mosaics up to and including modern mosaics. This page was shared with me by LouAnne Taylor, who is a youth services librarian and educator in Wyoming. She and one of her students discovered it while working on a virtual project on mosaic art.

MOSAIC ORGANIZATIONS

Society of the American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) is a US based non-profit organization dedicated to educating, inspiring, and promoting excellence in mosaic arts.

British Association for Modern Mosaic (BAMM). Based in the UK and has some interesting content on their site including links to talks given at their annual forums.

Mosaic Artists of Canada (MAC) Hosts an exhibit every other year featuring contemporary mosaic art by Canadian artists. Also has resources for members on their website.

Artsy Crafts A Canadian on-line business that brings a beautiful selection of products to people passionate about art and craft and in particular mosaics.
Mosaic Arts Supply is a US based supplier with a wide range of mosaic supplies.

Glass Mosaic Canada is one of the few Canadian vendors for mosaic materials. They are the Canadian distributor of Perdomo Mexican smalti.

Murano Millefiori is a great source for those beautiful millefiori from Murano, Italy, as well as many other items.

PUBLICATIONS
Mosaic & Glass - this UK based magazine has interviews, articles and tips about mosaics and stained glass. It’s available in a print or digital version.
